How do we go from dreams to design to an actual home? We take four simple steps. These steps are also listed on our homepage, but we go into greater depth here.

Discovery Meeting
Building a new home is all about you! We want to build a home that will meet your needs and create the lifestyle you want. We’re a family-owned company that will work with you to thoughtfully create a personalized home that is perfect for your family.
At Heartland Custom Homes, we’re committed to making the process of building your dream home as engaging, efficient, and stress-free as possible.
At our Discovery Meeting, you’ll sit down with our CEO, Mat. We want to get to know you. We like to hear about why you’re building, what you love and dislike about your current space, and which areas of your current home you spend the most time in. This helps us work together to build a house that is thoughtfully crafted just for you.

Design
Next, we start to design the floorplan and layout of the house. With an in-house draftsman, we are able to design and draw your new home right here in our office. And with 3D technology, we’re able to bring your new home vision to life!
We take what you’ve told us, and begin to design your dream home.
There’s nothing like seeing your dream home become a reality. When we start designing your house, you’ll get to see your new home vision take shape.
3.
Customize Your Home
This is where you get to put your style into your new home. Choosing everything from windows to flooring and everything in between!
This is an exciting step in the process because it is all about you – what you want and need in your dream home. As the experts, we will help you make the decisions to turn your new home vision into a reality.
We will sit down with you and go through the selections one at a time, room by room. You’ll also get a chance to look at and feel materials so that you can be confident in your decisions.
This makes it easy and exciting for you to design the look and feel of your new personalized home.
4.
Let’s Build!
Finally, we build! There’s nothing more exciting than breaking ground on your new home. Our expertise and workmanship, combined with our panelized process, makes this step easy and enjoyable for you – allowing you to feel confident that your new home is in good hands. We have built more than 1,200 homes over 50 years and we’ll take care of you every step of the way.
